Rachael Sherard BA, MBA

Rachael serves as senior vice president of rural health services for Avera Health, where she oversees the Avera Rural Health Institute’s activities within the organization’s footprint, which includes South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, and North Dakota. Rachael also oversees the system’s American Indian Health Initiative, grant writing efforts, and governance, and she has served on various boards, including South Dakota State University Foundation Council of Trustees, Dakota Resources, Inc., Dakotas American, and the Banquet. Rachael holds a bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University and an MBA from the University of Sioux Falls. She resides with her husband and children in Hurley, S.D.
