NRHA is no longer accepting session proposals for its 2024 Rural Health Clinic Conference and Critical Access Hospital Conference. The deadline was May 28 and late submissions will not be accepted.

During the submission window, proposals are submitted on the Rural Health Clinic Conference and Critical Access Hospital Conference event pages.

Only abstracts submitted through the online forms on each conference page will be considered. Contact Donna Douglas at 816-756-3140 with questions.

Sessions are selected by a panel of judges which changes from year-to-year. The application form includes a 50-word narrative which serves as the primary basis on which sessions are rated. A full slate of speakers, along with each speaker’s full contact information and full knowledge of listing, must be submitted by the posted deadline. Entries containing “TBA” or other vague session or speaker information will be disqualified.

Five interest tracks are available for Critical Access Hospital Conference submissions: innovation, financial, leadership, quality and best practices. The best practices category gives priority to current and previous Top 20 CAH winners, and no vendors are eligible for this category.

Only abstracts submitted through the online forms on each conference page will be considered. Contact Donna Douglas at 816-756-3140 with questions.

Sample application forms, including terms and agreements, are available through the following QR codes during the submission season.

Submissions must meet all the requirements of the category. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed. This includes missing speaker contact information. All speakers listed on a submission must have full knowledge of their inclusion. Failure to contact all speakers listed will result in disqualification.

  • Submissions must be received by the deadlines posted.
  • Do not send a paper submission. Only electronic abstracts will be accepted.
  • Notification of acceptance will be emailed in mid July.
  • Presentations may not market products or services; partner exhibit space is available for that purpose.
  • If accepted, presenters must register for the conference. As a small gesture of appreciation for the effort in preparing presentations, NRHA offers a limited-time discount on speakers’ registration fees. If speakers register and pay in full by the early-bird deadline, they will receive a 50 percent discount on registration fees. All registrations received after this deadline will be charged the full registration rate.
  • In addition, no honoraria or travel expense reimbursement will be provided for any presenter submitting through “call for presentations."
  • The standard audio/visual equipment provided by NRHA includes LCD projectors, screens and podium microphones. Computers, TV/VCRs, phone line/internet connections, “clickers,” or other A/V equipment will NOT necessarily be provided. If needed, it will be the responsibility of the presenters to make arrangements and provide payment for such equipment. Flip charts available upon request. Sessions are typically 75 minutes in length.
