Ways and Means, Senate Finance vote on markup today

The Ways and Means Committee voted 39-0 to pass their markup of H.R. 2810 “Medicare Patient Access and Quality Improvement Act of 2013."  The mark did not include any extenders nor were any amendments offered. Politico is reporting Chairman Dave Camp said, “Medicare extenders are very important, and we plan to address this as we move this bill to the floor. Medicare extenders will be another step along the way.” The Senate Finance Committee is currently in session and will be voting on important rural amendments to their SGR Repeal and Medicare Beneficiary Access Improvement Act of 2013. Stay tuned to this blog for the latest information on these important amendments. Register today to join NRHA’s efforts to protect the rural health care safety net programs during NRHA’s 25th annual Rural Health Policy Institute Feb. 4-6 in D.C.
