White House Report on Sequestration Expected on Friday

Reports from various media outlets indicate that the White House is set to release a report on how the Administration will manage the mandated budget "sequestration" starting in January.  As part of the Budget Control Act of 2011, various government programs must operate under specified capitated budget goals. Under the act, Medicare providers are slated to experience a "two-percent cut".  It has remained unclear, however, exactly how this process will be handled and how providers modified payments will be administered.  The report is expected to provide further details on what the process will be and what providers may expect in January and into the future.  Check back to this blog on Friday for more information on the contents of the report.
